Fukrey 3 Movie Review: The film ‘Fakrey 3’ starring the quartet of Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Pankaj Tripathi and Bhoji Punjaban has been released in theaters today. The first film of this series, released 10 years ago, made the audience laugh and tickle a lot. ‘Fukrey 2’ also succeeded in maintaining the same fun style of this series to a great extent. But will this third installment be equally fun? Will there be something missing in this group of fools without Ali Fazal…? In this review, let us tell you how this film is.
Story: In the previous film, CM Saheb had opened a departmental store named Janata Store to these fools i.e. Honey (Pulkit Samrat), Chucha (Varun Sharma), Lali (Manjot Singh) and Pandit ji (Pankaj Tripathi). But in this film, the departure and mental separation from this store has been separated and Fukrey is doing Fukragiri again. At the same time, innocent Punjaban is now planning to expand her empire in a different way by coming into politics. The magic of Chucha’s Dejachu is still working. But due to this déjà vu, they reach Africa. There are many twists in the story and in the meantime these Fukars come to know that Chucha has now got a new power. His urine has now become a flammable substance like petrol. Now, wherever there are inflammable substances and breasts, fire is inevitable and this is what happens further in the film. After all, to know what is happening here, you will have to go to the theaters and watch the film.
Actor Ali Fazal is not seen in Fukrey 3.
It doesn’t matter even if you haven’t seen the first two films.
First of all if you are thinking that If you have not seen the first films of this series or you have to watch the first two before watching this third, then there is good news. At the very beginning of the film, the makers are giving you a complete re-cap of the earlier two films. Due to which it does not take much time to connect with the story. Talking about the story, this time the story is quite weak. Things are just happening, but the kind of nervousness that exists in the last two films about ‘what will happen to the poor people now’… you will not be able to feel that this time.
The first half of the film started on a fun note but the part of the story that is shown in Africa seems very stretched. However, you may feel the feeling of the story dragging and being boring at times. Some things are happening in the film, but I don’t know why. Like the tanker mafia and innocent Punjabis are scared of the fools in the election field, but we don’t know why. Whereas in the second half, the story has been given a strange climax in order to insert a social message. The climax is the biggest weak link of this film. Also the film feels quite long this time. You have already heard all the important punches of the film in the trailer. In such a situation, there is not a single moment in the film which makes you laugh holding your stomach. Don’t know the laughter but definitely get irritated at many places that in 2023 at least we deserve better cinema than this.
Talking about acting, it is a good part of this film. Bholi Punjaban has looked very beautiful this time while Choocha has taken the entire responsibility of innocence in the story. Both Richa and Varun are entrenched in their respective characters. The jugalbandhi of Pankaj Tripathi, Manjot and Pulikat is good. However, why an actor like Manurishi Chaddha has been wasted in the film is also a matter to think about. Talking about music, songs appear in the film only in between, which do not stop its pace. The songs playing in the background are fine.
This time in Fukrey, these Fukreys are also going to reach South Africa.
The only argument you will hear for films that sometimes try to make people laugh through very useless and mindless ‘Whatsup jokes’ is that ‘This film is fun, if you go with your mind at home, you will enjoy it a lot.’ But I don’t understand why the brain has to be kept at home? It is possible that while praising a very useless action film, someone might say to you, ‘Keep your heart at home’, next time he might say, ‘Keep your heart and kidneys at home…’ So if you want to keep everything at home then why go to the cinema hall at all. In this film, a slogan has been raised during the campaign of Bholi Punjaban, No Pain No Gain, Delhi People use Brain… This time also for this film it seems as if no pen has been used and hence no gain has been made in the story. Now whether the audience wants to watch this film or not, hence Use Brain. This film is 2.5 stars from my side.
